Tree Memorials
New tree plantings take place on a yearly basis throughout the cemetery. Anyone of these trees can be used to memorialize a loved one.
This is a unique way to remember an individual while contributing to the overall beauty of the cemetery.
MEMORIAL BENCH
Whether it’s a place to sit and ponder memories or just a location to enjoy the serenity of your surroundings, a memorial bench can be a special way of commemorating a loved one.
At the discretion of cemetery staff, a four-foot bench may be erected as close as possible to a location by family or friends. A 6″ x 3″ bronze plaque with words of your choice is attached to the bench as part of the memorial.
PERENNIAL MEMORIAL GARDEN
The Garden of the Four Seasons perennial memorial garden adds colour to Groveside Cemetery from spring until the fall.
Perennial Gardens located in the Garden of the Four Seasons as well as the centre of Section T, give family and friends a unique
opportunity to commemorate through flower plantings.
Dedicated 3″ x 4″ memorial plaques are mounted on a stand in the garden and include the name of your loved one.
Memorial plaques require a minimum donation of $60. Application donation forms are available in the Groveside Cemetery office. If you require an application form to be mailed to you, call (905) 655-3493.
GARDEN URN MEMORIAL PROGRAM
The program will offer a decorative clay urn, available in two sizes, filled with annual flowers. Samples of the urns will be on display at the cemetery office.
A small memorial plaque, attached to a metal stand, will also be placed in the urn. The urn and plaque will be stored indoors, during the winter months.
The Groveside Cemetery Board will retain ownership of the urns and any which become damaged, broken, or unsightly, will be replaced.
Prices are available from the Cemetery Office for the Garden Urn Memorial, Perennial Memorial Garden & Memorial Bench Programs. Prices for other services may be obtained from the Cemetery Superintendent.
